I feel like there is nearly 15 inches already. A tree fell in the yard too. Sheesh!
Sounds like quite the storm indeed! Hopefully it doesn't get too bad, though I must say I'm envious of getting that sort of snowfall. Or any snowfall, really.

Jay got stuck going to work this morning on a hill. He never drove in this weather and this isn't even a bad storm lol
It's something that takes some getting used to that's for sure! First time I drove on icy roads was terrifying, and at one point I had to tow a car up to my sister in Wyoming in the middle of winter, now THAT was an experience and a half! Nearly lost my car, the trailer and her car multiple times.
They sure are, and the mountains around there that you have to drive through...just insanity!
I highly recommend getting a good set of all season m+s rated tires for your vehicle. That way when snow hits you don't have to mess with throwing on snow tires or chains. You just take it slow. It also never hurts to carry a piece of ply wood in your trunk in case you get stuck. That way you have something to get traction on with the wheel that just keeps spinning. 
Or cheap kitty litter, that's not bad for traction...granted, a lot easier to carry a bit of plywood than a bag of litter.I highly recommend getting a good set of all season m+s rated tires for your vehicle.
