They can be removed safely but most do go away on their own. My mom's was not a small one though, it was like the size of a baseball. It was causing her to bleed really heavy and they ended up removing it and she got a hysterectomy. She never had any issues with cramps though. Never had them, not even once. So who knows. Might just be an issue with my diet. I know when I eat more beans and nuts and less dairy, my cramps aren't an issue. In fact, when I was on a bean kick, I had a cycle where I had no cramps at all. For all I know it is a B vitamin deficiency of some kind.It does make sense, most women do end up with fibroids during their childbearing years, and occasionally they do get large enough to interfere with your cycle. Definitely something to get checked out to be safe, and hopefully it's easily treated!
I mean really it can be fibroids, endo, pcos or a vitamin issue. Hormones be crazy. I just know one doctor thought I had endo when I was younger but I never got checked for it. If it is that, it would explain a lot. Especially with my back pain. I guess the tissue can bother the sciatica nerve.
