I am a week late to this but this draft page from the manga during DBZ's run was uncovered. It was never used.

Recently, fans received just such a treasure. The Akira Toriyama Archives, an ongoing project dedicated to preserving the late creator’s work, unveiled an unreleased draft page from the climactic battle between Goku and Kid Buu. This missing piece from Chapter 512 of the manga, famously titled The End of Super Saiyan 3, adds new perspective to one of the series’ most iconic fights.

This is so fascinating! It’s amazing when lost sketches or draft pages from legendary creators turn up after so many years. It makes you wonder how much hidden history is still tucked away in old archives or basements. Discovering these drafts gives us a rare glimpse into how a masterpiece was first imagined or meant to end.
It also makes you realize how much the art form has evolved over the years. Comparing these raw, hand-drawn vintage drafts to modern digital hits is night and day. Today, we have visual powerhouses like the solo leveling manhwa where the epic action and vibrant colors are crafted entirely digitally. Yet, there is still a very unique, nostalgic magic in looking at those old-school ink-on-paper drafts.
