Majin Vegeta would crush him, and do it without hesitation. Perfect Cell was overwhelmed by Gohan reaching Super Saiyan 2, Majin Vegeta not only reached that level himself, but with the dark magic power, was even stronger.

I think you can combine the Saiyan, Namek and Frieza Arcs into one Super Saiyan Arc. I don't really see a big pause in the story after the Saiyan Saga, since there are many things incomplete including the fact there are no dragon balls and many of the protagonists are dead, plus the we hear...

In my opinion, there is no such thing as westerners, asians, there are just people mixed in, since the Earth that Dragon Ball happens on does haven't the same geography as the world we know. All the land masses and their geological placement is different in that universe.
