It's absolutely true, I mean look at the coverage it gets in the media whenever a mass shooting happens. It goes national if not global, updates are streamed live on news sites, the news itself and social media, and when the shooter is identified they're thrown on every possible screen rather...

I genuinely think it's in their mind to become as notable as, for instance, the columbine shooters or the aurora shooter. I try not to use their names, because screw them, but yeah, I'm pretty sure that's what gets in some peoples' heads and that's why they do it. Then when they don't end up...

Yeah, in the US you would absolutely expect someone to be carrying, but who knows, wrong crowd, wrong time, I guess. Or maybe it was over so quickly he just shot and gave himself up? Lots of variables that are unknown at the moment, sadly.

Would've been nice if someone had taken him out, but Westgate is one of those high end shopping and entertainment districts, so...guessing the people there at the time weren't exactly gun enthusiasts.
