8 people are dead tonight and four more have been hospitalized, with one in critical condition following a shooting at a FedEx facility in Indianapolis, Indiana. The gunman then turned the gun on himself before police could close in. Preliminary reports do not indicate whether the shooter was an employee, past or present, of the facility, nor do they outline any known motives at this time.

8 people and one piece of shit gone just like that, and one more in critical condition...all because some idiot likely had a grievance with his job. Ugh...and he's not even alive to face up to what he did. Why can't the gun jam when it comes to them, so at least they have to pay for their heinous bullshit.

This happens too often. Someone gets upset at their job and takes it out on everyone there. What is sad is they take their own lives after.... I would like one of them to survive so we can at least try to understand why some people do this kind of thing.

I feel like in many cases, there are mental health issues at play and they never get properly diagnoses because the shooter almost always takes their own life.

Sadly I feel that's true, as well. So many people just now are suffering and don't know how to cope, but also don't go and get help. It's not an excuse, not by any means, because we're all struggling in one way or another, but does seem to be a factor in a lot of incidents.

Gunman identified as 19 year-old Brandon Scott Hole of Indianapolis. Police do not have a motive, and it appears he had no direct connection to the facility, though it has been noted that a large portion of the workers at the facility are members of the Sikh community.

FBI says it interviewed FedEx mass shooter last year
