Over the years Monopoly has seen many different versions of the classic game released, including the most modern version which utilizes credit cards rather than money; however, after 86 years of the classic version of Monopoly, it now is receiving a "socially conscious" update to one of its' key features. The Community Chest feature will now feature socially conscious options including shopping locally all week, running in a race for charity, and helping build a school playground. There will also be new punishment cards, including finding a wallet and deciding not to return it or blasting music late at night, to the chagrin of your neighbors. The idea being to focus more on the "community" aspect of Community Chest, giving players, particularly younger players, particular emphasis on how to be a good citizen and socially responsible.
