Dragon Ball Super Am I only one on here who thinks Dragon Ball Super SUCKS?

Well, I am sure other people don't care for it as much as DB or DBZ. I know some people love the manga and not so much the anime.
I enjoyed it. It wasn't the same as DBZ but there were a lot of years in between both animes being written. They relied on some fanservice for sure but I think the next story is getting back to their roots of DBZ. So long as they write it properly for the anime, I am sure a lot of people will be pleasantly surprised.

I feel unable to properly comment on Super as I haven't watched the whole series to date, but it certainly hasn't drawn me in like DB and DBZ did. It's also not leaving me facepalming like GT, so...I guess that makes it ok? I do lament how far astray they've gone with the Super Saiyan rainbow, but I guess they do need new levels for Goku to reach to still be the hero.
If Super was a standalone anime created in our times, without the big fat "Dragon ball" name behind, I'd definitely think it sucks. Starting with the graphics.
I'm inclined to agree with this, it's just too over the top silly for me at points. Now if Super had been the Goku Jr. arc, and it culminated in his achieving Super Saiyan and meeting Vegeta Jr. in the World Martial Arts Tournament, THAT could be worth getting behind (and makes the "Super" moniker more appropriate). As it stands, though, it's not absolutely awful, but it doesn't do much to get me interested in it.
The anime has it's moments, the Universe 6 tournament is mostly solid and the beginning half of Black is great but the overall package definitely isn't very good. The manga fares a lot better as a whole, though I will at least note for the stuff I singled out in the anime, the anime is superior to the manga there (though Black as a whole is maybe stronger in manga). It's a fun read, albeit even when comparing the manga versions, I wouldn't put it over Dragon Ball or Z.
