Ahem. FLORIDA MAN Andrew Drechsel, a champion on the show American Ninja Warrior, has today been arrested and charged with a litany of offenses related to sexual contact with a minor. Charges include seeking sex with a minor and inducing a minor to send sexually explicit pictures to him. Drechsel, 31, met the then 15 year-old girl at an event in 2014 where other fans and contestants of the American Ninja Warrior show were gathered. They stayed in touch and, in 2015, the pair first had sex in Drechsel's Connecticut gym, after which the girl told her mother, who confronted Drechsel. Drechsel did not deny the allegations, but merely claimed he did not know the girl's age.

The girl then filed a report in 2019 with the local police department alleging that the pair had engaged in sexual activity multiple times while she was between the ages of 15 to 17 years old, when he clearly would now have known she was a minor, and that she had sent him multiple illicit images.

He has decided to enter a not guilty plea, according to his lawyer.

It doesn't matter what age you are, you really shouldn't be asking for nude pictures in the first place. If a woman wants to share them with you, she will. If she is under 18, you decline the hell out of that offer and you certainly don't go begging for them.

Agreed, it is a bit perverse that the thing a lot of guys strive for once they establish contact with a woman is to get naked pictures of her. I'm not so naive that I don't know what they're using those for, but I also know that a lot of guys share them around as a sort of conquest, which is just sick. She's entrusting you with intimate pictures, and you respond with a "bro, check this out..." moment? Real classy. If a woman sends you pictures like that for real (and agreed, preferably unsolicited), you treat them as the private items that they are and you don't show them off. It's a private moment she is sharing with you because she trusts you, so treat it like that!

If she's under 18 you not only decline, but if she goes ahead, you block her from your phone, delete the conversation and get that person out of your life.
