...and then I learned there was a TikTok community dedicated to bringing back the Bimbo.

I also learned it's run predominantly by women for "girls, gays and theys" directed towards anyone who is a "leftist who likes to have their tits out."

So...it's an aim to "reclaim" the word bimbo by acting like a bimbo and promoting hyper-femininity, but they want it to not be used as a pejorative term, but more as a term of empowerment? What? Bimbo used to mean dim-witted person who dressed for attention and acted in a hyper-sexualized way, and most women considered it a bad thing to be or to be called...now we're supposed to go back to calling hyper-feminine people bimbos, because that's what a small sub-section of the internet wants? K, sure...let's see how that plays out when guys start calling hyper-feminine women bimbos on the streets...let the offended generation start their campaigns against these evil bastards using a term they want used...

For the record -- no issue with women doing a bit of "bimbofication" to themselves (article says that's what it's called, so sure...), I can get behind women accentuating their womanly features 1000%, but don't go bringing back terms like you're black people trying to reclaim the 'n-word' for themselves. Bimbos weren't persecuted, they were just stereotyped idiots. You want to spout about equality and bring back a pejorative at the same time, don't go getting offended when it's used that way, you bimbos.

What's worse is I found the subreddit for this fad, and it really is just a bunch of bimbos spouting about their lip injections, how proud they are of their new fake breasts, and how they've signed up to have fat redistributed to their ass so they can have a plumper physique. They're 100% bimbos, in the same sense it's always meant, but we're supposed to be in awe of these plastic bitches because some of them graduated college? That's fine and all, but if you're making yourself look like a pumped up slut, what do you think that's going to attract? Pervs that like themselves a barbie girl to violate. So...how is this a good thing, exactly? I don't get this one at all...just be happy with the boobs and ass you've got! You're a woman, you're already better than the guys you're looking to "reclaim" this term from, don't go turning yourself into a barbie doll fantasy because you're insecure and want to pass it off as some kind of empowerment...it's ridiculous.

Reddit has a bunch of trash sections, I am not surprised. I stumbled on one where black women were going on and on about how all white women are jealous of them and trying to be them. I was like wtf? They blamed the same topic... Lip injections, fake boobs, and fake butts... Some people just shouldn't be online for their own good and everyone else's.

...do those black women think they own large breasts, asses and lips? Pretty sure women of all sizes and shapes exist in all racial backgrounds, but ok...

Agreed, lots of people who just should not have a presence on the internet at all. I genuinely do not understand this bimbo one, though...how are they "reclaiming" the term by falling into the same exact tropes that made the term pejorative in the first place? Being a bimbo and calling yourself one is not the same thing as reclaiming a derogatory term used to verbally abuse a group of people and giving it a new meaning. They're literally just being bimbos...so...I guess I missed the point of this one.

Being a slut for the sake of fashion is stupid. There, I said it.

If you want to spread your legs and share it with the world, that is your business, but don't act like it is classy. It is gross when men do it too.

It's 1,000x worse when men do it...no one wants to see that! You're spot on, though, don't act like showing off your body (with real or fake assets attached) is something particularly spectacular. It's not. There are millions of sites dedicated to that exact thing, and those men and women aren't running around shouting for a medal for doing so. Why this one has to be part of some movement is absolutely beyond me, because it is quite simply pumping up parts of the body and looking and acting vapid for the sake of sexuality. That's not clever, special, important or anything of the sort...it's what porn stars do...

You read it here, folks, time to get Beerus some beach ball boobs and blonde hair dye, we're going full bimbo with our destroyer god!

(I genuinely have no idea how I'd respond to someone I was in a relationship with if they ever suggested going that route...I mean, it's their choice and they can do as they please, but...yikes.)

Placebo effect? :D Got the hair colour, so now you've got to dumb yourself down to match the stereotype? That or maybe they put something in the hair chemicals that makes you dumb when you choose blonde? Raise the IQ points by removing it or going back to natural colouring :D, and go full rage mode by dying your hair to become a redhead (I love when people say that, I'm a redhead now, watch out for my temper! ...because that's how that works...)

I never did red hair. Only blonde and black. I had highlights when I was a teenager. I am very bland with my hair color. I keep it natural these days.

Natural's good, very few women that actually seem to keep their natural hair colour anymore. I've never messed with my hair colour in any way, like a lot of guys, just left it its' natural colour. Nowadays of course you see every colour under the sun in peoples' hair. Blue, pink, purple, green, all of it. To hell with that!

It's cute when you are a teen but as you get older, it just is a bad look. At least to me.
