Any fan of Asian dramas?

Any fan of Asian Dramas? Which type of Asian Dramas do you like?
Kdrama, Cdrama, Jdrama, Thai drama or some other Asian dramas?
Why do you like them? Do your family and friends share your love for Asian dramas?
What are some of your favourite Asian dramas?

For me, I am a fan of dorama (Japanese drama). I like shows like GTO, Gokusen, Hana Yori Dango.
I prefer dorama to Kdrama or Cdrama because of its length. Dorama usually lasted less than 13 episodes.
I do occassionally watch korean and chinese historical dramas. I particularly like Hur June, Dong Yi (Kdramas), and three kingdoms (Cdrama).
My mother loved Kdrama, but I am alone in liking dorama (Japanese drama).

It depends on the drama. If it's a romance, then more likely not, specially Korean Doramas. But if it's a drama more related to struggles, fear, search for connection... Like The Handmaiden (Korean movie), or that won that won the Oscar as the best movie (damn, name slipped now) then sure.

I’ve watched white, black, and Mexican dramas (the three major races, LOL), but not Asian dramas. I can’t help but wonder what they are like.
