Dragon Ball Super's new "Galactic Patrol Prisoner" arc entered an exciting new phase with the latest manga chapter, which saw Vegeta battling the true might of new series villain, Planet-Eater Moro. The battle revealed much about Moro that we didn't know before - including one truly shocking reveal:

As Goku and Vegeta learned their horror in the midst of the battle, Moro has ability to block the Super Saiyan transformation process!
This is interesting. This could be where the anime leads and if this character (Moro) can actually stop the transformation for Saiyans, it can bring back more of a heavy hitting martial arts style battle.

This seems ridiculous to me. Who is this guy and why does his ability only focus on Saiyan abilities? And due to the lack of Saiyans left, how did he find out and hone that skill? It would be more believable if he had the ability to prevent powering up or something like that, but to affect only a particular race just doesn't seem legit.

Yeah it seems a bit over the top. I am sure there is some kind of background to him. Maybe he has been around for a long time and has experience with Saiyans. He was a prisoner as well so maybe he escaped. I wonder if the term "planet eater" has something to do with sucking the life and energy from planets. I don't follow the manga entirely so I don't know if they will make this part of the anime or not.

I'm not following the manga, but read about this. From people who have been reading it, they're saying as a villain he's as good as Piccolo in the original Dragon Ball, so looking forward to what they do.

If they write him well, I am fine with this cause like I said, it will force the battles to be more like early DBZ and Dragon Ball which can be refreshing.
