I was looking into Black Ops 6, considered doing the season pass to play it for "free" but no... Not a chance. They clearly have learned nothing.

TLDW:

The maps are lackluster at best, terrible at worst - same old, same old
The spawning somehow has only gotten worse and I am not even sure how they could manage that
The mechanics and feel of the game is a downgrade from MW3 (modern not old version) which was not good to begin with
Buggy UI with issues loading the game and AIM assist randomly turns off at close range
Memory hog, expected to be even larger with release
[UWSL]Skill-based match making is ass[/UWSL]

I seriously hate these companies for ruining these games. I thought eventually they would get things right again and it just continues to get worse year after year.

In all honesty, I only play Black Ops for the storyline (have only played the first two). My friend and I bought BO3 on sale the other day for co-op (have yet to arrange a time).

If I want to play a deathmatch, I'd much rather play Half Life (1) or Far Cry (1). Half-Life is the only multiplayer fps I've ever truly loved. Perfect pace.

BO 1 and BO 2 was the best in terms of online multiplayer. No going back to those days though.

Agreed. Black Ops 2 is one of the best Call of Duty games of all time.

As for Black Ops 6, I'm miffed, indifferent about the game. I know there's "generative" A.I. running in the background. I know games are designed somewhat by A.I., and has been since MWII. More pronounced in MWIII. And now we are rearing an ugly head.

I enjoyed the beta at first, but it was followed by glitches. I literally went into a few matches and the whole screen went black.

The maps are weird in some places, but Babylon is almost perfect. Its BO6's "Shipment."

Played it for 2 hours today.

Maps are meh. They feel confused. Like they want to be good but gave up half way through making them.

The spawning is mixed. Sometimes it is good, other times it is dog shite.

Finding players is SLOW. Like considering the game came out last week, that is terrible.

And it honestly just feels like a free to play game. Not in a good way either. The game isn't horrible. I was having fun for a bit but it doesn't have the same feel as the older titles and the menu once again sucks. What is this zoomer inbred nonsense they do now!? lol

Those 3 are your answers. We've been dealing with that shit for years.

I know the known issues and it is why I have not even bothered playing any CODs in a long time outside of a few betas.

I think they may have some of the lowest release week sales this time around in a while too.

The first video shows early server-side SBMM, the second one is Activision doing white paper talk about SBMM. The third one is the new one; texture streaming. You need internet for EVERYTHING in CoD: Black Ops 6. Even campaign.

Most people can handle the internet but its still ridiculous.

Everything they consider standard in COD games ow just freaking sucks. Like I said, it feels like a free to play game. Especially cause they shove your characters down your throat. Like I don't care about the skin of my character. It should have just been randomized and the customization kept for guns and emblems, things like that. Like they have skins that make ZERO sense in a war game now and it is cringe to me.

You don't know the half of it. I recommend watching my second one of the list. My reaction to their white paper. They said SBMM has been in the game since CoD4.

The level of gaslighting is amazing. I mean, nobody is stupid enough to say CoD4 had SBMM. At least the version we have now.

Even Mark Rubin says it was light.

He said it on camera too.

I have played all titles from 2007 to 2013, every single release every year. They are absolutely full of it lol

Played a bit again. Not as bad. Still not what it used to be.

And zombies is freaking HARD. It is like they put it on steroids. :wut:

Oh and they already found a way under one of the maps. The one with the water and boats, can't remember what it is called so that is fun.

Which are worse? The first three Call Of Duty games, or the new Call Of Duty games?

I think the new Call of Duty games. This is coming from a guy who went to E3 and played both CoD2, and CoD3 before it was even out. I played it at GameStop months later. Not my style of games, but what changed for me was CoD4. After that I went balls deep into the game(s).

My top 10 CoD games of all time...
