Cell Saga Abridged

I know I've mentioned this before in the past, but what the hell happened to the Abridged series during the Cell Saga? They were so talented as comedians in Saiyan and Freeza. I'm actually glad they're not doing the Boo Saga because of how bad the Cell Saga was.

I didn't watch everything from this so I can't really say but if it tanked that much, maybe it was down to disputes and private disagreements they were having. Also, YouTube went through a lot of changes which could have limited them creatively.

I mostly watched the Android Saga but I also watched some of the Cell Saga. I also watched the Android Saga Kai and the Cell Saga Kai. Most of the gags were just toilet humor at best and the cast reverted from humorous versions of their canon counterparts to just asshole versions of them. It's strange because they even made the Garlic Junior Saga and Garlic Junior Saga Kai episodes hilarious and this is the Garlic Junior Saga we're talking about, LOL.

This was when one of the DB rights-owning companies (not sure if Toei, Funimation, etc.) started harassing them, and it took them months between episodes and they had to start focusing on other things, so...inevitably, quality went down and they stopped making it altogether.

I'm almost certain it was Toei. They're a greedy corporation and they've messed with TFS in the past.

Kaiser and Lani made a video a while back addressing why they're not going to continue the Abridged series. There were a lot of reasons, but it boiled down to time and fighting copyright strikes. They're going to continue doing the DragonShortZ since it's original material.

They've had some good ShortZ recently, I'm glad they're keeping those going.

I remember liking it fine but I also stopped watching during this saga at some point so I don't know maybe there was a reason for it. If nothing else, one of my favourite things DBZ Abridged ever did was having a bunch of other anime characters challenge Cell in the Cell Games during the wait. Those were a lot of fun. Not sure I ever watched the actual Cell games come to think of it.
