I actually enjoyed the flashback. I'm hopeful that all this stuff with the Heeters pays off, especially since they've clearly been hatching this plan for 40 years. Also that's some damn good genetics that none of them age slightly in that time.

If Bardock could beat Gas then why didn't he beat whole Heeters on his own? Bardock vs Gas pretty much low to mid diff and Oil and Maeki are much weaker than Gas. So they're non factor even if they tried to help Gas. Elec is not a fighter so Bardock should be able to solo Heeters and wipe them out.
Elec is delusional if he thought Gas has potential to surpass Frieza. Goku in base who is much stronger than Bardock was still weaker than final form Frieza back at Battle of Gods. Goku had to turn SSJ to beat final form Frieza. And Gas who was weaker than Bardock let alone Goku doesn't have transformation that allows him to surpass Frieza final form. Even if Gas has it, Frieza grew much stronger and he has Golden Form now. Not a chance Gas has a chance to surpass Frieza. maybe Frieza first form before Frieza trained for a month.

They had 40 years to get their crap together and train, and they are currently gathering the Dragon Balls for unknown reasons - Gas could even make the same wish Granolah did.
Gas even with 40 years training won't reach base Goku Battle of Gods saga Goku who according to Beerus was weaker than final form Frieza. Goku actually had more than 40 years training since he spent training in HTC where 1 day in there is equal to 1 year in real world and that base Goku at Battle of Gods was weaker than Frieza.
I doubt Elec knew about Dragon Balls with to give the power to be the strongest in the universe.
They hit up Zuno which is how they found out about the Dragon Balls.They asked him a tonne of questions, but only one or two were actually shown. They'd clearly been researching Frieza for that entire time to figure out how best to take him out.
At the end of the day, you're griping about a series that arbitrarily scales powers and makes up things on the spot to fit the narrative. Toriyama constantly changes his mind about things. Logically speaking, you're probably right (even though we don't know anything about the Heeters biology compared to Saiyans - they clearly haven't aged in 40 years either, much like Saiyans age slowly). But you can't apply logic and rules to something that constantly changes when Toriyama decides he wants something.
Don't think they would find it. Monaito would hide the Dragon Ball.
I'm not gripping just being logical. Toriyama never said Heeters have zenkai boost like saiyans. You even don't know if Toriyama would change Heeters biology like saiyans that allows them to get zenkai boost like saiyans did so it's your assumption for now. He can train for 100 years and he's still weaker than base Goku in Battle of Gods saga and even if Gas reaches the level of base Goku in Battle of Gods saga, Gas doesn't have SSJ transformation like saiyan did. Final form Frieza would still clap him. It's a dream he could surpass Frieza in 40 years. Toriyama would make it clear if Heeters have zenkai boost like saiyans. Elec, Maeki and Oil are weak. They are non factors. They might be weaker than Krillin.
