Cluster B Personality Disorders

I've been a victim of abuse in my lifetime on more than one occasion, so I've done a fair share of research on Cluster B Personality Disorders because of this.

There are four disorders within the spectrum:

Anti Social Personality Disorder (ASPD/Psychopath, ASPD/Sociopath)
Narcissistic Personality Disorder
Borderline Personality Disorder
Histrionic Personality Disorder

As you could already guess, a psychopath is a more severe version of a sociopath. Sociopaths don't care about other people's feelings or if they end up hurting them, while psychopaths like harming other people physically and emotionally.

There's also a difference between people who have high or unhealthy narcissism but are still neurotypical, and those that are pathologically narcissistic or have full blown narcissistic personality disorder, and at the very worst, malignant narcissism.

The last two aren't as serious because BPD is basically almost psychopathic/sociopathic/narcissistic, or a less severe form of those three, while HPD usually overlaps with the other personality disorders.

However, all four/five fall into the toxic or inhumane category, so all are inherently evil by nature or default.

What are your experiences with some toxic people in your lifetimes. If it's not too uncomfortable for any of you to go into detail, of course. I'll likely share my experiences in the following posts if any of you share any details.

My father is a narcissist and my mother has become one thanks to dementia, and it's not easy trying to just live a normal life with that sort of personality around you. You hear so much about how awful you are as a person that it makes you introverted (which I have been my whole life) and self-centered because you want to see what it is they're seeing in you that makes you such a bad person, despite the fact that it's not you, but them. I won't go into specifics, because I overshare about myself and my life as it is, so let's keep some of the mystery alive! Suffice it to say, though, I grew up knowing I was a worthless piece of shit!

I'm lucky not to have any toxic relatives, but I've still had toxic experiences, which include cyber and sexual.

It's a sad fact of life that you just can't escape toxic people in this world. They're everywhere and they come in all different packaging.

Indeed. From my research, I have concluded that cluster b personality disorders make up 20% of the human population. This is a lot of people.

My mom is a narcissist who loves yelling at anyone who doesn't meet her self-imposed, high standards. My dad doesn't get angry often, but when he does he gets violent. My younger brother is also a bit narcissistic and very temperamental. I'm pretty chill for the most part but have a degree of anxiety and have done hard drugs like cocaine and meth.
