The end of Z is near and that means no more Dragon Ball Super. According to Toriyama this is the state of things...

From when the Buu arc ends until the end of Z in the manga. There's a 10 year gap, so essentially Age 774 until Age 784. After the 157th episode of DB Kai then it's all of Super to include this latest movie then we've got about a year or less to cover until episode 158 begins and it's time for the tournament!

That is probably why I am confused because I didn't read the manga. I only know about the ending in the anime which was pretty vague. You can see Pan was probably around 12 years old though or something.

She was 4 years old. She's 3 in Super Hero so Toriyama actually has his facts straight when he says we're very close to the end of the original manga.

Yeah I was remembering her different. She don't look three though.... well I guess her body does but she sounds older lol

Knowing all this know, I wonder if he will incorporate SS4 at some point, like in his own creative way. I know not a lot of people like it but it is still my favorite form. I just wish they did it better. And it wasn't just "super saiyan 4".

GT is pretty much an alternate timeline at this point. It happens but it's definitely it's own thing. Goku will most definitely get a completely different Toriyama sanctioned journey going forward. I do hope someone gets SSJ4. Even if it's one of the kids. I also want Baby adapted into the timeline going forward because he's the best villain of GT.

Isnt Kai just re-aired DBZ with updated graphics?

I Personally dont want gt to be canon I love GT i really do but you know how Bardocks Story Got More Toryiama´d (Which i didnt Like)
That HAS To happen to gt because going from funny Dragonball (All shows) to BTW Goku is never gonna see his family again is something i dont wanna be the canon Fate Of Goku!
(And yes i love GTs Ending i just want goku to be Happy)

Its Dragonball without most of the filler (and with mostly the same Graphics) You Know Filler The Stuff that isnt Canon to DBS!
But it still isnt completly manga Acurate especially the Buu Arc!

Everything's allowed to have an end. Heck, I even thought GT's ending was very fitting (Dragon Balls caused the problems, everyone had to learn to be without them (and Goku) and move on with life).

There's supposed to be a Dragon Ball announcement at NYCC this October. No indication what it pertains to but I'm hopeful it's for at least another movie. I'll take what I can get until they figure things out behind the scenes.

Not sure what is happening. It seems like they planned on the anime being back next year or even this year but now it is up in the air.

Geekdom has said the anime is coming back "soon/this year" about 50 times. Eventually the broken clock will be right.
