I enjoy this guy's channel. He is like a young Jordan Peterson. Always touches on what is happening in the world and compares it to the past. Gives you a lot to think about.

This video explains basically how human's desire to make heaven on earth always results in hell.

 
Without watching it: it only makes sense. It's human nature to rely on a higher power that we hold above everything else. When it's no longer God, it gets filled by something else: government, family, sport...

Of course, when it's not God, whatever it is is ultimately flawed, because humans are flawed and selfish.
