There is a reference to the OG Dragon ball show in the French version of Pokémon Red and Blue. Basically, if you press A in front of the TV in Red's room, it will tell you that an episode of Dragon ball is playing.

The french version is generally one of the best! i can explain that quickly here:
Japanese: The og so its pretty great
English: probably sligtly worse than japanese
German: Basically the English version wth translated Puns, attacks and of course new pokemon names!
French: Super creative
Every other european version: No Translated Pokemon names (theyre in English) and Bad attack name errors
Every other non european version: HELL

I mean Japanese, English, german and french are good that is a lot! I mean i think there arent that many languages pokemon was translated into! so it 4 countries (probably now 5 and half thanks to china)
German pokemon is good its just that we germans translate stuff very acurate! I mean creativity is still there by virtue of the 900+ Pokemon names!
Yeah but that other european versions dont get their pokemon names changed is just a shame!
