I’ve come to the realization that the Boo Saga, in spite of its faults, was the best time to end the series. Goku had surpassed the god of earth by the end of DB, and he had already surpassed the god of the universe by the Boo Saga. And he passed the mantle onto the reincarnation of the strongest being in the universe.

I mean yes because it literally was the end of Dragonball/ Z!
Although unlike a lot of others i have no issues with more db content as the story was left open to be continued!
Also something you anime fans dont know are the 2 ending pages! Because Z doesnt really include them!
Specififically you see all the characters saying good bye to you followed by an emotional goodbye message by toriyama which for some reason was replaced with vegeta saying he will surpass kakarott how lame!
Also there are two gokus on the spine art one comes in volume 8 after Shenron and the secon is his SSJ Version waving at you at the end!
(Speaking of spine art there are also two yajirobes but that was a mistake!)
 
Super does feel a little zombified at times.

Objectively, the best narrative ending to the story of Dragon Ball is GT. The Dragon Balls themselves are finished after their constant use resulted in major consequences, Goku's story actually ended, and his legacy was passed on to Goku Jr (who is an interesting not overly annoying character, unlike Goten)

I mean having Goku die in the last arc and Gohan finnish of the last opponent!
Is a bit weird that like watching a batman show were they set up Robin taking over batman just to end the show after robin won for the first time!

Also as an ending the buu arc is pretty Perfect! Atleast the og DB Should be gokus story from Kid to mentor!
And then Super or Gt couldve been Gohans story!

Also Again the end of Z is missing WELL the end in the anime!
