Evolution of Gohan's hidden power

Loved the moment he beat Cell. He has such a huge build up and growth. I said it a million times before... I understand the direction for his character but it was such a let down what they did with his character when it first happened at the start of the Buu saga.

Such a build up that ended in so much disappointment. Akira Toriyama should be ashamed of this. I also would have loved if they continued the story after Goku's death and had Gohan take the lead. That would have been so epic...assuming of course, they had him continue to train hard and not become a complete waste of animation time.
