So this is apparently a trend. Scammers use YouTube to get people to download apps and take surveys in order to "play a mobile version" of whatever game. Right now they are trying to use Fall Guys since it is very popular. They will get access to old YouTube channels and just pump out their videos to random subscribers.

If you fall for something like this though, you are either a child or you shouldn't own a smartphone or both in a lot of cases.

This isn't the first time I have seen Muta talk about this stuff and it isn't the first time I am seeing it in action. YouTube needs to really do something about stuff like this.

I realize you and I watch a lot of the same YouTubers, and yeah scams like this have always existed and sadly people will still fall for them

Yeah we do, lol

And yeah, you would think YouTube would do something about them, at least on grounds of hijacking someone else's channel.

You would think so, but who knows they are worried about other kinds of nonsense

I dunno, some of them could be real. I mean, I know this prince in Nigeria whose like two weeks away from sending me money to keep hold of for him, and I get to keep some of it! That's real, right? So why couldn't this fancy new phonamajig appletation be real?

My aunt fell for one of those scams where you deposit a check for them and then withdraw your own money to mail back to them. She deposited a $3000 check, gave him $500 and her account bounced 2 days later because the check was not legit.

Yeah, my dad fell for more than one of those, sadly...they love to prey on the elderly and, in his case, the not so clever...most know not to do that stuff, but they still get the odd person or two, and that's what they count on.
