Getting towards the end of the Training Island segment; at the moment it's going to be a bit of a short-bare one as those sorts of events are hard to represent in a game like this. I'll try and throw in some side quests down the track.

In the meantime, here's Mushroom Forest / Pilaf's Castle. As I see these as a macro, I just now realise how devoid of mushrooms this "Mushroom Forest" actually is. I will definitely have to revisit in the future.

Training Island finished-ish. I intend on adding the construction site and farmland a little later. I also checked out Attack of the Saiyans last night, so if I get inspired I might even add that underground area too. At some point.

Still working my way through building the World Tournament. Obviously have no close sprites for some of the more notable fighters like Bacterian, Giran or Goku's large opponent, so I have to make do with some existing ones like Pterodactyl, Pintar and Spopovich.

Jackie Chun is the one that I'm currently getting frustrated with. I can recolour Roshi from the beard down, it's just finding an appropriate head.

Obligatory I'm-Not-Dead/This-Project-Is-Not-Dead post.

Just finished the mapping for the WT arena. Scripting is up to the start of the finals, so it will mostly just be a lot of dialog and movement. That takes a lot more than it sounds. :p

Just time for an obligatory "This project isn't dead". I've finally started writing the scripting for the finals (which should be relatively easy). Once that's finished, this section of the game will be done. Then re-testing, bug fixes, etc.

That's what I was thinking of when you posted those screenshots earlier. I like that your friend didn't try to go all out on it and knew his limits.
Yeah, and that's really it at the end of the day. This is just a functional beta; the nicer stuff like special graphics can come once it's all off the ground.

Okay, after all this time I've finally finished the bare-bones scripting for the whole release (the end of the Tournament Saga)

So now I'm going to have to fix up the dialogue, general events, maps and how the events (ie characters) position interact with each other. Safely I'd say this might be released in October, but optimistically it could be earlier.

Here might i give you a Hand:
Heres atleast one enemy Sprite You can use:

That might not help you with the overworld Sprites Problem but atleast younow have a Genric Enemy that you can use! (PLS tell me which other sprites you need! Evey Major Db Character should have one its just that they are from diffrent looking games!)But i could give you a Giran Battle Sprite (if i find it!)

Thanks for that, and I might look into using it a bit later. At this stage I'm not interested in making side-view angled battles, just getting the game itself off the ground.

And in terms of that: I'm just going through and fixing up the Tournament stuff now (up to the final matches). I'm still hopeful for an October release!

You could still use these sprites in front view battles!
I mean i searched and these are literally the only Sprites in a Decent Resolution!

Yeah, that's not really helpful outside of side-view. I have a lot of renders and grabs from the anime that fit the style of RPG Maker better, especially since the avatars for the characters are in that style to begin with.
I mean i searched and these are literally the only Sprites in a Decent Resolution!
The cool thing about sprites is as long as they've been ripped as is and haven't been altered, you can upscale them pretty safely. All the assets I ripped from LOG have been upscaled to better fit RPG Maker's requirements - the tilesets were 32x32 and RPG Maker MV and MZ - until recently - required 48x48.

I mean as in they are the only ones in 32 Bit! I mean i still would suggest that you might look into Spriters Ressource there are tons of Sprites for Classic Db!
