I mean, I assume Toriyama would try to give Trunkten some sort of personality that's mildly different, but yeah. Pretty much. Gotenks was pretty useless as a character.

And if you really think about it, there's no real practical difference between Gogeta and Vegito either.

Maybe Trunkten would be more reckless than Gotenks, maybe even more stubborn. Gotenks I feel represents Trunks more.

Atleast hes better than Vegito/ Gogeta both of them are so boring compared to their Components while Gotenks uses cool stuff like the Kamikaze Attack!

Vegito was turned into a jawbreaker and still beat up Buuhan, that counts for something.

Agreed otherwise, I get Gotenks can be annoying, but he easily has one of the most creative movesets in the entire series, if not the most creative.
