A hacker found a way to take control of a Chinese-produced sex toy designed to prevent men from getting erections which, for some reason, is smart enabled and controlled by an app. The hacker took control of the devices, locked them in place and held their wearers ransom for roughly $750 worth of bitcoin (about .002 of a bitcoin). The article does not mention if the ransoms were paid, if some of the victims are still...locked in their problematic situation...or the product has been fixed to ensure it does not happen again. One owner reported that their device locked while they were not wearing it, fortunately for them, and that nothing he was able to do allowed him to be recognized as the owner again, and his attempts to contact the manufacturer did not seem to produce a result either. Can only imagine what those who were wearing them must have dealt with...

Having said that...why in the fuck would you wear one of those to begin with, and WHAT IS THE POINT OF HAVING IT BE INTERNET CONNECTED?! That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard! Have your partner lock your cock up while they're miles away, because...not having the use of your penis is sexy? It's the sort of device I expect vindictive wives who suspect their husbands of adultery to use, but nope, apparently it's a toy these men enjoy...so...umm...yuk. Also, why aren't we using these on sex offenders? Lock it up and don't unlock it...problem solved.

Nope, an actual news article on an actual news site (well...an actual site...) about an actual product that some people apparently actually use...and apparently actually got trapped in...

Still seems like an effective tool for sexual predators...clamp it, lock it, forget about it...like a boot on a car, but for their nether regions.
