I am not a horror movie genre person but I see a lot of people saying this is the creepiest, scariest movie someone has ever made.

I never even heard of it. Came out a few years ago. Anyone here watch it?

 
I think I knew about it when it first came out, but I never bothered watching it. Saw a couple of ending explained videos just now, and...well, I guess I can see why people would consider it to be such a creepy movie. Not a particularly friendly movie :D.

It seems like it is more bizarre than scary. Like the kind of thing you would drop your jaw to rather than scream over.

Agreed, the plot is fairly outlandish, and while there seem to be a couple of moments that are horror film-esque, it does look more "wait, what?" than "AAHHH!"

As a Horror fan, I can say this movie is great and is one of the few to have me on the edge and be uncomfortable. I differently say give it a watch

You should and it really is. I mean, I have watched some really gorey and fucked horror movies, but this one got me which says something. Another one I would say to watch is Midsommer
