Doesn't even matter. Hackers and modders can join your session even if it is invite-only if they have your account number. They don't even have to join to spam you and kill you over and over again. Rockstar knows about this stuff and lets it happen because it encourages people to buy shark cards. I can't stand this company anymore. More and more crap comes out like this and it makes me just lose complete respect for them.Unless you're playing in private lobbies with people you know, online gaming is extremely toxic. Haven't watched the video as yet, but given the level of modders to people playing genuinely in the pc version of the game, I am not surprised in the least that people have tools to dox people over something like GTA Online. It's ridiculous that it happens, but persistent stupidity has been allowed to fester and "mature" within online gaming communities for years.
Hmm, I didn't realize that. I knew modders were prevalent on PC because Rockstar weren't really policing things, but had no idea they could barge into private lobbies or still grief you even outside of the lobby. That's pretty pathetic of Rockstar to let that happen!Doesn't even matter. Hackers and modders can join your session even if it is invite-only if they have your account number. Rockstar is garbage. He even says in the video to use a VPN before playing ANY of their games. Such a load of crap. They can fix this, they just choose not to.Hmm, I didn't realize that. Well I'm glad I don't play GTA Online very often, and only on Xbox servers...still, I think I'll probably stay away from it altogether now.Rockstar is garbage. He even says in the video to use a VPN before playing ANY of their games. Such a load of crap. They can fix this, they just choose not to.
The way they treat their customers is enough of a reason for me to never buy or play their crap ever again.Well I'm glad I don't play GTA Online very often, and only on Xbox servers...still, I think I'll probably stay away from it altogether now.
Agreed, their success with GTA Online, unexpected though it may have been, has trashed what was once a great company. GTA used to be a highlight, it was a great experience to play through a GTA game, now it's a grief session and wondering what new crap they've put in to get more money from people. I assume RDR is the same, which sucks. The quality nosedives to drive profits and that's not what they used to be about. Oh well, I guess. The way they treat their customers is enough of a reason for me to never buy or play their crap ever again.
They will lose more customers as time goes on. Maybe they will change. I really doubt it and I am done with their games.Agreed, their success with GTA Online, unexpected though it may have been, has trashed what was once a great company. It'd be nice if they went back to the way they were, but they're raking in too much cash to change back. It's the right business move, it's just a shitty ethical position to put yourself in.They will lose more customers as time goes on. Maybe they will change.
