Is Tarble canon?

Off the top of my head, he was mentioned in Battle of Gods because they needed the extra Saiyan to help Goku attain the transformation.
I have to be honest, I read this and legitimately thought you were talking about Turles for a moment...I forgot Tarble was a thing, as well.
Everyone forgets about Tarble because he only showed up once, but he has such a sweet and respectful wife

Yeah, the wife was an interesting character they could have done more with as a character, but I guess a plot point they both did their part and went on their way.
Gure was a direct inspiration for me to match Korian up with a non-humanoid partner.
Canon is a loose concept in Dragon Ball since Toriyama changes his mind or just plain forgets characters and concepts. Yo! Son Goku and Friends Return was written by Toriyama so he did create the character. I accept it like how the old Star Wars canon used to be, if it came from George Lucas' pen or mouth then it was top tier. Same goes for Toriyama.

Agreed, hard to argue anything is canon unless it shows up in something recent, because who knows what Toriyama will re-write next.
