Ken Jennings has been named the first of several interim hosts of Jeopardy! and will begin taping episodes next week. It is expected Jeopardy! will try out at least half a dozen guest hosts and will likely pick one as the permanent replacement for Alex Trebek following his death from complications with pancreatic cancer.
Within hours of being named Jeopardy! host, however, the internet did its' thing and found a six year old ill-advised tweet from the former Jeopardy! champion that is now being criticized and used as a call to have him not be named as interim host. The now deleted tweet from 2014 read "Nothing sadder than a hot person in a wheelchair" and has been criticized by many for being insensitive, calling for him to be fired and replaced.
