Well of course they are happier. The only case where a wild animal like that would be happier in a zoo is if they are at a disadvantage or feel they are. I think this is why there are a lot of younger folks today clinging to security through the state. They don't want to rely on themselves and their freedoms because they can't guarantee them anything in life. It is easy to take the care given to you and just scrape by then to take a risk, even if that risk could result in you being wealthier, happier, and more fulfilled in life.The Lions in the wild look happier, so liberty.
It is more so about humans though and humanity. The lions are being used as an example of how safety and security doesn't guarantee happiness or fulfillment. The same can be said of freedom but with freedom, even without nothing, you are still free.I get what you mean there actually. I feel like animals can really bond with and feel grateful toward humans who nurse them back to health, as long as they release them back into the wild. Not all animals can be domesticated.
