42 year-old David Whitaker has been arrested after spending 107 days on the run from police, most of it in the deserts of Pinal County, Arizona, on charges that he sexually abused a 13 year-old victim. The victim has also reported that the abuse was ongoing. Whitaker armed himself with a handgun and fled his home, packed his survival gear and headed into the desert. Police located him, thanks to a tip, living in a shack he had made in the desert where he survived off of javelinas and rabbits as well as the fish he could catch from the creek. He's now under arrest for a litany or felonies.
