TLDW: He is using Mint on his desktop and Arch of all things on his laptop. He is all in on Linux.

I liked fiddling about with Linux when I was younger, but there's still too much of a feature gap with Windows that I just can't move away as a primary driver, particularly since I use my computer for my job too.

Don't get me wrong though; my home server runs Proxmox (Debian) and I have multiple Ubuntu Server containers that I will continue adding to

Businesses are too keen on keeping things corporate. I do not miss windows at all. Especially now that Steam runs great on Linux.

There's a lot of good reasons to, but it largely comes down to familiarity, supportability, and application compatibility. Those things have to be solved (in reverse order) before you can see a real market shift.

The fact you can instantly spin up an Ubuntu VM for various purposes in Microsoft Azure is huge. Heck, using Linux as a VPN server is the only supported method for Microsoft Tunnel.
