Video Games RDR2 Online Only - $5

Rockstar Games will release a standalone version of Red Dead Redemption 2 Online for only a fraction of the full game's price starting on Dec. 1.

According to a post on the Rockstar Games newswire, the standalone version of Red Dead Redemption 2 Online will only cost $4.99 on Steam, Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store, PlayStation Store and Rockstar Games Launcher until Feb. 15, 2021. After that, the price will go up to its usual $19.99.

This is apparently what's going to be happening with GTA Online, as well. Smart move for Rockstar, keep the cash cow afloat as long as possible. Haven't touched RDR2 at all, so I don't know how the game or the online aspects play, but I assume it's for the same reasons. Try and keep the cash cow side of the game afloat. GTA they release new and more expensive vehicles all the time, so people grab shark cards and they keep on laughing their way to the bank...not sure if that's how it works in RDR Online, but business terms, it's a solid move for Rockstar to try and keep that racket going.

Yes and no. If you can find a lobby of cool people and not grifers or modders or asshats then it is a ton of fun, but if not then you will hate it so.

So pretty much GTA V online with horses. I guess I will have to think about it more. I don't want to deal with people screwing me over.

Yeah, but Red Dead Online is better than GTA ONline, but that is a bias on my half. Though with the new update coming more and more people might be on it for long, which is sad

Basically after 28 days your daily challenge streak is going to be reset. So like if your streak is 100 let's say when this update happens it will restarted at 0 and if you get up it will stay, but after 28 days it goes back to 0

A lot of people are pissed at it, but Rockstar likes fucking over Red Dead Online so...but GTA Online they gotta baby it and everything else.

Definitely seems a bit heavy on the buying in game gold and grinding a lot...shame.
