Caught up on Season 5. Amortycan Grickfitti ~ It was fine, I guess. The Hell-Demons joke was super repetitive, felt like that whole plot was just one joke on loop. Had some decent character moments I guess but that plot was a dud. The Morty/Summer plot fared better, but it wasn't anything special, Chutback never worked for me but Rick's ship had some fun bits. Rick & Morty's Thanksploitation Spectacular ~ This may have been the most boring episode of the series yet. I was pretty tired when I watched this and the last episode to be fair, but this one almost put me to sleep. Think having only the one plot-line hurt this one too much, it felt like it would never end. Gotron Jerrysis Rickvangelion ~ Fun episode. Some good jokes, really loved the narration jokes. Not sure the second half really worked all that well, but a step up from the last two. Rickternal Friendshine of the Spotless Mort ~ Best episode of the season so far hands down. I'll admit I don't remember much about the details of he show's lore & the Birdperson/federation plot-line, but I remembered all the scenes they've explicitly called back to since those were some of my favourite scenes to begin with. Strong clever Sci-fi premise & storytelling, great characterization, a hilarious minor B plot with Rick's garage, the Gromflomites were there and I love them.
