This is old news from like 2014 but I am only just now hearing about it.

WTF are they thinking? What would you do with them then? They would be mentally ill! So what, do this and just release them back into society? This sounds like a less humane version of a death sentence.

This seems like it would just make them feel helpless, hopeless and not worth living. Don't try and make the punishments worse, try and make the person better, you morons. 1,000 years of confinement does not rehabilitate someone...so you release them, they feel hopeless, but they've also got nothing more to lose...so...how's that helpful?
