Video Games The Outer Worlds 2

Guess I'm missing a lot of gaming news, but The Outer Worlds 2 has been announced:



Sadly, it will be a different solar system and different crew. I'm a bit bummed about the different crew as it would be nice to see where they all are after the events of The Outer Worlds. I mean, they did show us at the end of the game how they split ways and went on to do their own thing...but would have been great for them to find a reason to come together again.

I never played the first one. I don't even remember it. This one looks pretty but if it is being made by other people, it will likely not be the same as the first one.

The first one is a gorgeous game with really good storytelling. Unfortunately, it was a bit short and only has 2 DLCs. TOW2 is still being made by the same company (Obsidian). When I said different crew, I meant the in-game crew that you as the player puts together to go on your missions.

Oh so the characters are different. Gotcha. I mean it looks like a really interesting game. What genre does it fall under?

It's essentially like a sci-fi Fallout game. It takes place in a far away solar system and you travel to other planets to complete various quests. Along the way you meet new NPCs and some of them become the crew of your ship (and selectable companions on quests). So, sci-fi, first person, you make choices that affect how things play out, etc.

Probably not a bad idea. I just don't have much free time for gaming anymore and I get that thing where my backlog of games is so extensive I'll forget where I was in a game and jump onto the next one...not ideal
