I just felt like starting a huge post about the Coronavirus. Let's swap stories! Have your neighbors bought all the toilet paper yet? What is the weirdest thing you've seen people do during these "trying" times?

I'm getting a bit sick of not being able to get toilet paper at my local stores. Even went to Costco and people were literally waiting in line at the toilet paper section for them to put new stuff out and emptying it at 3 packages worth at a time. 3 42-roll packages at a time. Ugh. I'm just going about my business as normal, honestly. I've got my own health issues to worry about, I'm not going to start getting paranoid about something I haven't got when there's plenty to worry about with that I have.

I've done the exact opposite and have actively begun measing with people and their group think. Pretending I’m sick and mocking their wearing of masks the reactions have been hilarious thus far.

Honestly I've just chosen to remain ignorant to the whole outbreak. It doesn't concern me in the slightest.

My mother is panicking over it more and more. Believing BS posts on Facebook about the country being locked down. Said toilet paper shot up in price and you can't find it anywhere. I got some very easily online, on sale too from Target (one of few stores that are actually limiting people's panic shopping). I keep telling people it is one of the most common viruses in the world and the death rate is VERY low. It seems like a lot because the rate it is spreading. Just make sure anyone in your family who is over 65 is keeping clean and if you are sick, stay away from them.

I didn't mind the memes at first but people can't stop talking about it. It has become annoying. I am one of those health-phobes who worries about all sorts and I am not concerned. Remember when Swing Flu was a big deal? I caught it and didn't die. I actually felt like I was knocking on death's door so I went to the ER. The doc was like "Eh, nothing you could do now just ride it out" lol So I drank like a gallon of OJ a day with plenty of water and felt 50% better in less than 36 hours. I was completely fine by 72 hours.

Yeah, I only worry about the elderly getting Corona Virus. Other than that, I don't care.

Not too reach out desperately with great vengeance and furious anger or anything, but if I see one more millennial post about why the U.S. needs single payer healthcare because of the coronavirus, I may, just may, blow my f'n brains out. Stay tuned.

People that complain about healthcare don't understand healthcare. If we had free healthcare in the US, we'd be worse off. It would take ages to see a doctor and you'd end up needing to pay out of pocket for specialists. I don't have a fix for the issues dealing with those who can't afford insurance but I think if we, as a nation, focused more on getting people healthier instead of reliant on medication (I know some are and it is beyond their control but many aren't and have reversible issues), it would be a step in the right direction. Lower the cost of healthy foods for a start so everyone can afford them. Make unhealthy foods less accessible by taxing them higher. Just a few ideas.

Having been on state funded healthcare before myself, I know there are options out there for people who can't afford it. I paid $5 a doc visit, $10 for a specialist, and $15 for emergency room visits. This was when I had no income. People need to get better educated on how to find and use these resources instead of complaining and living unhealthy lifestyles.

I'm going to buy a bidet attachment for my toilet since there will be no TP for my bunghole. I haven't been in a store yet, but I have 5 large rolls left. I'm wondering if I'm going to even be able to get basic groceries at this point. People are dummmmmmb.

We have a few cases of the virus in the DC metro area, so that's lovely. My staff and I are on full telework all next week, which will be nice.

Buy TP online if you have to. Heck, buy what you can online, it is probably safer for people to just do that in general right now to avoid stores.

My brother works at a hospital and was exposed to the virus so now he has 2 weeks paid vacation. lol

Oh they do, Walmart won't even ship any LOL You have to know where to look. Target has stock still, has some sales too. I always buy it online cause it is usually cheaper.

I'm sure he'll be fine. Being exposed to it doesn't mean he'll get sick but who knows, hospitals are some of the dirtiest places. At least people who need to take time off are getting paid for it.

Orders came down that I can't got to America and if I do I have to quarantine for 14 days and use my own leave. Now I'm cranky.

Funny you say that because apparently there are reports of people making runs on gun stores as a just in case. So not only do you have nothing to wipe with but soon certain classes of firearms and ammunition will start to get scarce. Good thing I'm in Canada where I can't possess a gun so I'm absolutely proper f&#@ed!

I know people are upshetti in their spaghetti over the virus but no one seems to be addressing the second coming of Hitler...

Also, it is amazing how much is overlooked when people are panicking and fixated on something. The governments of the world could pretty much start probing us in the ass and not many people would notice.
