Not exactly on the Anime front, but I'm going back through some Tolkien. Currently reading "The Story of Kullervo" after having just finished "The Lay of Aotrou and Itroun." Both of them are short and sweet, and both are bitterly tragic. Fantastic reads.
(Sorry if responding to threads on the older side is a no-no!)
Listening to it on audiobook and it's just as hilarious as you'd imagine coming from the guy behind Black Rifle Coffee and MBest11x
Re-reading On Killing: The Psychological Cost of Learning to Kill in War and Society - Lt. Col Dave Grossman (Ret.)
I highly recommend this book for anyone who is considering a career in law enforcement, military service, or goes EDC where applicable. For all others it gives great insight into the psychological and sociological toll. I can't speak highly enough about Lt. Col Grossman.
