I see a lot of love and a lot of hate for this particular DB series. I can see why people felt both ways as well.

I personally enjoyed it but I feel like the beginning was dragging too slow and the ending was pushed too fast. I didn't mind Goku being a kid again but Pan, in the beginning, annoyed me.

After some time passed, I wasn't bothered by her. My favorite takeaway was easily the SS4 transformation. The red fur didn't make sense by gawd, it looks the best of all the transformations they have done.

What are your thoughts on what went wrong (or right) with Dragon Ball GT?
 
For me, it didn't feel anything like Dragonball. The mini-stories felt rushed and it became the Goku/Trunks/Pan show. I wasn't fond of how differently Goku and Vegeta acheived the SSJ4 transformation, nor of the actual transformation itself. Very little, if anything in GT got me excited.

I disagree. I think it felt a lot more like Dragon Ball/Dragon Ball Z than something like Super or any of the newer content, for example. That's one of the things I like about GT.

I've been on the DBZ scene for a long time, and back in the day, everyone hated GT. Now people have more moderate opinions about it. In general, there are a handful of content I like in the franchise, like the Manga, most of the Anime, some of the Movies (especially Path To Power and Bojack), Kai up to the Cell Saga, etc. GT is actually not one of them, but like I said, I tolerate it better than the new content for sure.

As far as what I like and dislike about it, Baby is the best GT character and the best Saga from GT for sure. In perfect contrast, Super #17 is definitely the worst character as well as the worst Saga in the entire franchise. I have mixed opinions about the Black Star Dragon Ball Saga and the Shadow Dragon Saga.
