What would be the fastest way to change a sleep cycle?

Right now, I am going to bed between 2AM and 4AM.

I am going to have to wake up at 7AM starting next week. I am trying to approach this and change my sleep cycle without feeling tired or drained.

Anyone here have to do this before? If you did, what works best?

I'm an insomniac that gets about 3 hours a night max, so nothing really works for me, but I've heard that fasting before the new bed time, avoiding stimulants after noon on the first couple of days of the new schedule, and setting alarms is about the best way to get it done. Also doing all you can to wear yourself out during the day, obviously, goes a long way towards helping make you tired enough to want to sleep at a time that would otherwise be irregular.

I was able to go to bed at like 11PM earlier this year no problem but that didn't last long. I think I managed to keep a steady sleep schedule for like 2 months and then I started staying up later, and later. I didn't drink my green tea today but I did have a can of coke so I did have caffeine but I am going to try to lay down a few hours earlier and see what happens.

It'll take time to adjust, there's no real magic switch to it, but yeah, just start avoiding anything with sugar or caffeine after noon until you adjust to it, and you should be ok.

I am going to have to try to stay awake after getting up earlier without any caffeine. I think one green tea will be okay but it is going to be hard. Sometimes I get so tired, I almost fall asleep sitting up. lol

I hear you on that one! It's no fun being tired, what's worse is being right on the verge of falling asleep but unable to actually get there...that's torturous!
