Who remember how annoying and funny Mr Satan was during dragon ball z?

We all know the Earth's so called champion Mr Satan, before he was made less annoying after dragon ball z. Mr Satan was so super annoying during the cell saga and Majin Buu saga, and was really funny from when he first faced cell to kid Buu

I remember being annoyed by him on many occasions but the Buu saga humbled him a lot. Still though, even in DBS he is a bit of a dunce. I liked his character for comic relief though. It allowed Goku to be a bit more serious. Same with Gohan.

I actually thought he was noble during the Cell Games (when he helped #16). During the Majin Boo Saga, he was both very helpful and hilarious. The only complaint I have is that he stole Gohan's success, but since Gohan stole his daughter's virginity, it evens out. Definitely one of my favorite supporting characters, if not my favorite.

-Brought 16's head to Gohan so 16 can talk some sense into him which helped Gohan to achieve SSJ2 form to beat Cell
-Befriended Fat Buu and thanks to that Fat Buu helped Goku to buy time to gather enough energy for Spirit Bomb and later persuaded earthlings to give their energies to Goku.
Never has any issue with him he's much more useful than the rest of Z fighters especially Vegeta who caused the majority of problem in Z arcs like letting Cell achieving his perfect form, causing the resurrection of Buu.

Even Goku respects him a lot.

Super also did him justice. In Super he also gave money to Goku because he realized he didn't deserve it even though he contributed much to the safety of earth in Z compared to most other Z Fighters. I can't think how can anyone hate this character.

I like that he's redeemable, but I hate his character in general - I think last time I watched the Cell Saga I just skipped through any scene he was in.

He annoyed me way more when I was growing up. I can tolerate him now and appreciate some of the funnier moments but boy did he used to piss me off lol

Nah, I still hate him in Super. I just can't.

I also felt a bit suss watching the uncut dub when I was living with my parents because I didn't really want to explain why a crowd was cheering for Satan (which still does make me feel a little uncomfortable).

When they aired on Cheez TV in Australia, they had their own cutaways (usually submitted art and photos by fans) so I didn't even know those existed until I downloaded Dragon Ball/Z as a teenager. But that was something I noticed when I saw it.

I just didn't pay attention to the little details back then. I think I was only 12 at the time. lol
