Would a power ranking/list prefix be of use?

I noticed quite a few of you guys are into this.

I never really followed ranks or power lists but if it is something that would interest some of you, I can make a prefix in one of the sections so they are easier to find and read, compare, all that jazz.

Me neither. Guess I just don't really see the point. But there seems to be enough people doing them where it wouldn't hurt. I actually wonder how often people use the prefixes for searching purposes. I've been on many XF forums and it doesn't seem to be used that way.

It'd me more of a looking at the forum list and spotting them than anything, I mean that is how I use them. I hardly ever use them in the search or sort way one would normally do. I make things harder for myself really lol

But as this site grows, they'll come and things like this tend to attract the worst people who can't be civil in discourse.

Easiest way to deal with it is if you feel the urge to take it personal or make it personal, give yourself a forum timeout to cool off. If someone knows they get under your skin and they are the type to enjoy it, they will just keep doing it.

I don't get angry or anything (Unless it's a flat-earther, then I could lose my shit) but I tend to fan the flames because of two things

1. I refuse to diffuse debates most of the time. Both parties should come out having learned something. I don't like to stop until that's the case.

2. I too eagerly wish to shut these people down and will go many lengths and push many buttons to do so.

That's an easy way to get yourself an elevated blood pressure and stuck under the hands of trolls dragging you into arguments just to see you get riled up. Learn to walk away, that not everyone is going to see your way of things, and that not everyone is going to take your argument to heart. Worst comes to worst, hover over their username and click on the "Ignore" button when it pops up.
