Dragon Ball GT Super Saiyan 4 is what Super Saiyan should have looked.

I agree SSJ4 is pretty out of touch with Super's storyline and wouldn't really fit too well. Granted, it's not like Toriyama won't just change his mind and bring in SSJ4, a new SSJ5 and god versions of both...

Does anyone know the inspiration behind the blond hair and blue eyes when it comes to going Super Saiyan?

Because he is a Na...in reality it was because the blacking of Goku's hair took a lot of time, and Toriyama wanted to give his assistant something easy, and eyes is because he based it on Bruce Lee where he would glare at his opponent and it would be like he paralyzed his opponent.

Nope that is why. I think people like to add depth to stuff in the Dragon Ball franchise when really it isn't that deep. Like the common accepted theory was that he did it because Goku represented the Aryan Race or something dumb like that

Trust me, you start looking into really deep fan theories some of them are pretty interesting, but most are way out there or just plain dumb

The eyes are green as far as I know and in the manga, Toriyama stated that filling in all the black hair was a lot of work, so he made Super Saiyan blonde because he is lazy.

EDIT: oh, someone else answered. But yeah.
