Short Term Goals

Thought I would make a thread for this. Anyone who has short term goals, talk about them - what your plans are, how things are going, etc.

I told myself I was going to make a better effort to take care of my body so I started rebounding again. I started yesterday. I am going to do it Monday - Friday for 40+ minutes each morning. So in terms of a short term goal for me, my short term goal is to stick to this for at least one month (rebounding 20 days) to see what changes are made in my body. They say rebounding improves oxygen to the brain (improves mood, decreases anxiety), helps with poor posture, improves blood circulation, reduces and even heals back/neck/shoulder issues, detoxes the lymphatic system, releases fat stores (burns fat), improves the immune system, improves digestion, improves sleep, and just overall benefits the body because it is anti-gravity movement.

If I can reach this short term goal and it can become a habit for me, I know I will feel better overall. The world is all sorts of wacky these days and I don't want to be another person who focuses on all the bad and just forgets to take care of myself. So yeah, here's to hoping I can stick to this. I already felt myself thinking I couldn't be bothered this morning but did it anyway. I feel great after. Just have to stick to it!

Get a girlfriend. Kinda hard to meet people during corona, doe.
Dude in NY lifting harsh bans so maybe things will just all "disappear" lol

I'd imagine it is hard to go anywhere and socialize when they are telling people to stay home though.

I mean...I don't mind staying home...but I also miss going to the pub. And the pub that I could walk to is permanently closing thanks to shut downs.

Yikes. Yeah, there have been a number of places shut down because of that mess. My dad lost his job, the restaurant he worked at closed for good.

In terms of meeting people, you can still meet people online. It is more common these days. Probably would be easier/safer even, you can get to know someone mentally/emotionally before you drop trou and regret things lol

yeah, lots of good business and people hurt from this damn virus.

I used to do a ton of dating sites and met a lot of people...but something changed over the past few years and now it's hard to get anyone to hold a conversation.

dating sites
Dating sites are a bit of a mess anymore. They are certainly easier/more convenient but you would have an easier time connecting with someone through a joined interest. I met Jay on a forum. We became friends, got to know each other more, and within 3 weeks knew we wanted to marry one another. The issue with this approach though for a lot of people is that they don't want to do long-distance or simply can't handle it which I could understand.

I find the saying true that love happens when you least expect it so instead of focusing on finding a girlfriend, focus on yourself. Discover a new hobby for yourself or something or get back into an old one ya know? I know it sounds cheesy but based on my experiences and experiences of people I know, the best relationships were started when people were not expecting anything to happen. Like magic... or witchcraft... or a virus from China... LOL

I lol'd

True dat.

Yeah, long-distance is rough. I wouldn't even know how to meet someone like that on a forum. Doesn't sound like something that normally happens between people.

For sure. I've focused on myself for the past several years. My hobbies are reading and sports...just kidding. Those are Goku's made-up hobbies forced on him by Chi-chi. I've recently gotten back into drawing. But mostly just play video games and watch shows in my spare time. I was definitely thinking about just trying to be friends with someone. At the very least, she could turn out to be a great wing-woman. But, that's pretty difficult right now. And so many women around here are just fucking awful...if it wasn't so important to my career and my kids were out of high school I'd leave.

Yeah, you gotta put your kids first till they are old enough. That is unfortunately the downside to having them if the marriage/relationship goes south. You are stuck where the mother is. I am sure there are great women in your area, they might just be harder to find. This is why finding a common interest helps you meet people more like you. I mean I have met people through gaming. That would probably be harder for you though, lots of sausage in the water lol

Only a few more years...they'll be outta high school and I can re-evaluate where I wanna be.

You don't understand...this are has become massively blue. So...there's lots of purple and blue hair, pronouns, everything is misogny, etc. They're unbearable at times.
That would probably be harder for you though, lots of sausage in the water lol
ahaha for real. plus, I don't play too many multiplayer games. I'm more of a gamer who likes good stories.

Oh... That kind of bad. Well, like you said, only a few more years. I can't imagine being in an area like that trying to date women. Have to dodge rape charges just for touching their arms.

It's pretty bad. And unfortunately, these are usually the ones that into manga/anime. Ideally, I'd find someone who shared those interests.

Maybe they are "new" fans or just fans because it gets attention from men? I really don't know. I got teased for enjoying it growing up :haha:
What a shame. I don't think I ever told anyone growing up lol. It was just something I did and that was that.

I did get teased for liking Power Rangers when it came out when I was only in 3rd grade, though.

You're not wrong with the forum approach, I was a part of a community for 17 years and I knew at least 12 couples who got together and married because of their connection through the forums. It's difficult, because if you find a woman on a forum with the same interest as you (this was a gaming forum), they're already being inundated with messages from dipshits who want nudes, because any internet woman is instantly a whore. So you've got to get to know them, convince them you're not looking for nudes, hope there's a connection and go from there...takes a lot of work to make it work.

Steer clear of California and Arizona, nothing around here but vapid thot-wannabes. Self-centered egotistical bitches, the lot of them. The ones that aren't are taken or in a relationship with a dude who is equally as vapid...scene here is a disgrace!

Loads easier for women to find someone in the gaming space when the odds are 5,000 hot dogs per bun...Sadly for the buns, though, most of those hot dogs are overcooked and rotten.

Officer! That bastard called me a woman, arrest him for sexism! Hate crime! Hate crime!

I had a group of friends with mixed interests and I learned of Anime through a friend named Tiffany, she showed me DBZ and that was it...she tried to show me others, but I was young and dumb and wanted spikey hair dudes throwing bombs at each other. She managed to get a few of our other friends into it, too, so it was sort of neat having a little anime group for a couple of years in school.

Power Rangers was amazing, to hell with the haters!

If you haven't yet, look into the PR comics that have been put out. I think by Boom studios. They did a really good job at expanding the universe and making it more grown-up.

Also, if you haven't, watch the original Japanese versions. Especially, Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger. It was much darker than the American version.

Yeah I have had guys say some pretty piggish things to me. I ignored it. I was the one who went after Jay actually. He didn't show me any signs of being interested. I just told him I liked him and went from there. He thought his friends (the other mods/admins) were messing with him too. lol Only one member knew I was going to say anything and he advised me to go for it. I am glad I did.

LOL true that. I used to be called a boy though and told to come back when my balls drop. I just went along with it. I used to play online with a guy and his girlfriend. Me and her would laugh our butts off over what they would say to me. I guess I sound like a boy through a headset. lol

LOCK HIM UP! LOCK HIM UP! Chi Chi would approve.

Sailor Moon fans.
LOL I was a Sailor Moon fan.... :pissed:
