Luckily the floods seem to be relativly non destructive although a lot of people did die!
But compared to american floods its relativly tame!
Our flooding is brought on by hurricanes though. I think you guys get flooding similar to the UK where it is mainly increased rainfall raising the shoreline.
I grew up in Pennsylvania in a town along the Susquehanna river and almost every winter when the snow would thaw it would flood because of melt run off from the mountains. Although the last devastating flood we had there was in 1973. My mother told me she had to take a boat to work.
I'm confused. Why are you sorry? I was actually agreeing with you that we have a lot of f*cked up floods. Sorry to hear that there were deaths in your flooding.
I just thought calling a flood tame seemed somewhat bad especialy because i never was in an flooded area myself!
