canon dragon ball

Only the newest Broly movie and Battle of Gods are considered canon.
I thought there was one older movie (maybe it was a special) that was canon? IIRC, one about Bardock?

Idk, I recall reading that somewhere. Could have been BS.

I don't think this was ever confirmed. I will have to look into it.

Oh Resurrection F is also considered canon I believe.

Yeah after digging a bit, it's Bardock and History of Trunks that are in a gray area. Toriyama canonized Bardock, but not his source material. History of Trunks is non-canon but at some point many considered it canon.

I think they might end up doing some sort of reboot to tie in his story with the sword. We will have to wait and see.

Basically outside of the three super movies no movie is canon although Bardock and history of trunks still make sense (even more than the new bardock story) in the context of pre Super dragonball and the bardock movie was probably canon at some point!

I like the idea of the original Bardock movie being secondary canon. Certainly moreso than Super or even BOG and FNF.
