Does anyone see this or planning on it?
Based on the trailers, I took a hard pass on it. From what I heard, the movie was longer than it should have been and had obvious tech plotholes.
I guess it was better in some regards than expected but somehow worse than expected by a lot of people. I didn't watch it and don't need to. I read and heard some reviews.
Spoilers:
I'm just honestly shocked they killed off James Bond at the end. Like wtf... I get what they were going for with the virus and him sacrificing himself because he would be a walking weapon but man what a way to end it on a bad note. At this point, James is dead and the only way this franchise continues is for someone else to carry the 007 title and not be called James Bond. If they were to go back and time and do a new classic film, I would be all for it but the womanizing James Bond can't be a thing. It is a movie, not real life yet they want to force real life into these stories... with politics, gender issues, and forced diversity. They even said this movie was for the #metoo era. I fail to see how unless they mean this by it being a celebration that James Bond, who they view as a misogynistic pig, is dead. Entertainment is filled with too many irl social issues and politics at this point I struggle to find anything worth watching. RIP James Bond.
