Dragon Ball Z Vegeta Super Saiyan - Approximately how long before Android fight?

Approximately how long before the Android fight would Vegeta have turned Super Saiyan? Bulma has no idea where he is when everyone meets up after the 3 years. Legacy of Goku 2 has him come back from space the morning they appear.

He also seems to have relatively good control of Super Saiyan by that point that he can just do it; Goku suggests earlier that it takes practice to will yourself into the state.

He might have rested on Earth after training enough, but away from Bulma.

He didnt go to space in the MAnga tho! and Considering how moch Vegeta is Evil at that point i think he wouldve tried taking over if he had it for long!

Ah, you're right. Still, the filler-idea would make sense. If everyone could sense Frieza from that far away when he was in space, surely a couple people would have noticed "oh hey, Geets just turned Super Saiyan".

I don't think that's true. He only really cares about Goku and being the best. Even when working for Frieza he only really cared about fighting. His evil is more of a selfishness than a Frieza evil.

He was training on earth and nearly killed himself. Then when Bulma was helping him recover, I think they banged and that is the point where he felt he needed to leave earth to better focus on his training. If that is the case, he returned when Trunks was about 6 months old so he would have been gone a little over a year. I think he was coming and going though. I don't think he stayed away the entire time.
