No love for Xenoverse, huh?

Almost every DB game I've ever tried, I didn't care much for.

I like Budokai, but it wasn't amazing either.

People kept telling me that Budokai Tenkaichi 2 was the best one, so I got it, but I just didn't like it as much as Budokai.

After that I got Xenoverse and put like 100 hours into it. The PvP in Xenoverse was solid and diverse. Winning was super satisfying and losing made you want to get better.

I don't know if this was based on the opinions of the guy who wrote the article or the general feedback.
Wasn't 2 the one where the story progressed as if it was on a game board? I can't remember...man this was like around the time I graduated high school or was still in high school.

Maybe? It has the lines I think like a map.

Yeah, Budokai 2 had the game board story mode, I know because I love it and it's one of my favourite story mode in a Dragon Ball game. In part because it meant I could co-op it with my brother, since it was turned-based and along with Goku you could select multiple allies to have on the board with you. And in-part because of how weird it got with it's story mode, like having Majin Cell and Majin Frieza, and how Buu would absorb one of them. Budokai 2 had a lot of fun little things, like Gokule being playable. But unfortunately, the gameplay isn't very good, very simplistic and basic.

Budokai 3 is probably my favourite game. The story mode, Dragon Universe is better than Budokai's 2. Dragon Universe has a lot more going on for it. An open world map to explore, RPG mechanics where you get to upgrade your stats, multiple character campaigns (Broly even gets his own), some stories are different on replays (Goku's for example, can wind up fighting Cooler instead of Frieza on his second go around), and the game is actually fun to play. They added a lot new mechanics to it. It isn't like FighterZ but the combat is still a lot more engaging now, and I love the gameplay. Loved Dragon Arena, where every character can level up and there are hundreds upon hundreds of higher level CPU's to fight against. Frieza has a capsule that after he loses his all his life points, he revives as Mecha Frieza with full health, so 6 health bars in total. I distributed all Frieza's stat points into HP, so by the time I maxed that out, Frieza had like 14 health bars I believe. I could barely hurt anyone but nobody was able to take down my health entirely, it was fun to stat build characters differently.

The only games I really got to play from the list are Super Dragon Ball Z (which is great, I love the character customization [you can give Trunks a laser sword and Mecha Frieza a rocket launcher iirc] and Chi-Chi being playable is novel), Legendary Super Warriors (which I recall spent hours on, remember it being frustratingly difficult near the end), JUMP Ultimate Stars (though I don't think I even played the DB characters), Kakarot (only played through the Saiyan Saga, but it's a lot of fun), & FighterZ (gameplay is a lot of fun, but I don't play online and the story mode is repetitive and boring, so I don't love it as much as everyone else).

Other Dragon Ball games I recall really liking are Raging Blast 2 (Galaxy Mode was great, loved that every character got their own short story mode of sorts, Battle Zones were really challenging, and it had a free OVA on it that I had never seen before), Burst Limit (Graphics were fantastic, dat's all I remember), Super Saiya Densetsu (I'm not sure I ever understood the battle system, but I had fun with it regardless). For the crossover games, I preferred Battle Stadium D.O.N. (despite having the most BS unlock system I ever experienced), J-Stars Victory Vs., and Jump Force more the Ultimate Super Stars.

No clue. This was popular when I was in Elementary School. It was an old flash game that was Cartoon Network.
I think my mistake was not spending time on websites like these back then. I mostly only was on the computer to play Sims back then. lol

I'm pretty sure that one was on the Cartoon Network website. They had a bunch of flash games for all the old shows. That game was one of my favs for sure.

Right, that is what I said. I remember it, a Gundam Wing one and a Grim and Evil one that were all fun to play.

It's an okay list, each to their own.

My favorite would have to be either BT3 or Budokai 3. BT3 is a game that feels the most like DBZ and Budokai 3 because it's a solid fighting game. FighterZ annd Buu's fury are up there for me. Xenoverse was okay but it had too much grinding for my taste. Haven't played Kakarot yet
