A Zelda title where you play as the princess instead of Zelda! That's cool!

Srsly, I love that they're re-using the Link's Awakening engine (still waiting for Oracle remakes though) and it looks really cool.

Poor Link got send to the shadow realm they did handle it well but still theres no world in which im happy that link isnt playable in a zelda game!
I mean hes my favourite :( and its not only a link that happend to its my favourite and first link! (i played the oracle and like both The old sprites aswell as the in game models!
I mean im atleast hoping that link gets to be playable in a side mode (maybe a zelda maker) in each game where he isnt the main protag!

You could just pretend. It's not like there's a shortage of games where he's a playable character.
True however there is a sdhortage of games were that specific design is used!
Its 2 (4 if you count the sprite form from the Oracles)

I just hope they come out with Oracle remakes in the future. This game is a good sign that they will.

I feel like this is gonna be the MGS2 of Zelda.

Currently it is, via the controversy. But you won't play Zelda the whole game. I feel like you'll play Link at some point.

Nintendo - instead of using Snake as the marquee character of MGS2, they used Raiden as the marquee character. To advertise MGS2, Snake is the "seller" of the game. Here, Nintendo is actually using Zelda herself as the "selling point" of the game. No "Gotcha," no BS. But the story won't stay on Zelda as the focus point, kinda like Raiden being focused on, but also focused on Snake/Pliskin.

I'm personally excited. I like what I see so far. It's a mix between a puzzle game, and a traditional RPG. Zelda is using minions to fight her battles, it feels like an RPG.

I agree that it feels experimental or whatever, but this game being a new top down Zelda game alone is great. It goes to show that the Zelda team is recognizing the open air formula has gotten stale enough to at least make new 2D games again.
